Direct Energie is a French low-cost electricity supplier for professionals, small and medium businesses and local governments.

Challenges

Find new financial investors.

Story

Direct Energie had reached a point where it had secured its electricity provision and identified its goal: becoming the number one alternative supplier within their target market. The company wanted to increase its client portfolio up to 100.000 customers by the end of 2006 and invest in production or distribution assets.

AviaMediaTech Ltd’s role as a fundraiser was to establish a list of UK Private Equity Funds and produce a « teaser » in English to find new financial investors aiming for a total of 5M Euros capital fund raise.

After preliminary arrangements, private equity funds were introduced to Direct Energie management team in less than 3 months to discuss the project and finalize the investment terms sheet.

The Fundraising took place in the United Kingdom, where the results were reached very quickly, in less than 5months from project launch to achieving the set goal.

Conclusion

Direct Energy was a pioneer in a new era of low-cost businesses in all industries. AviaMediaTech helped secure their growth and today, Direct energy is a healthy, regularly growing French business.

In 2018 , Total announced they were buying Direct Energy for 1.4  million euros, in order to become a main actor of green energy and to secure more growth for the group.
