Founded in 1994, Barony Universal is a leading manufacturer and marketer of branded cosmetics, toiletries, and household products worldwide.

In 2013, Alexis Grabar was appointed CCO to the board of Barony Universal, part of the Arnest Group, the biggest Russian cosmetics group with 57% market share in Russian aerosols production. He was responsible for overviewing the group’s international expansion.

At the time, the group had 2 factories, one in Verona, Italy, and another one in Scotland. After a few months working on the group’s strategic expansion, it was decided to close the Verona’s factory and to buy another factory in Scotland called SANMEX with a workforce of 250 people, for 50 M£.

Alexis overviewed the acquisition and then stayed on as a Non-Executive Director until the end of 2015 when he transferred to another role as an external consultant.


During his time as a board member at Barony Universal, Alexis worked on major changes & challenges. Thanks to his involvement & the work of his team, the group is now the #3 seller of aerosols in the UK, with clients like Boots & Tesco.
